The Hoplon Adelaide can usually be found as a wallflower in this incredibly large plaza. Where exactly however remains to be seen.

Adelaide is born in Urqopacha, Yok Tural to her native mother and an Ishgardian noble with a penchant for the grandeur. Adelaide's mother is meek and spineless - unable to protect herself and her daughter. Her father is horrifying with a personality that flips between loving and destructive. Adelaide at her young age discovers that to survive she must be subservient, something against her bitter nature.Her father started a draconian cult on foreign soil, eventually taking pilgrimage across the salt to manipulate poor souls seeking community and take advantage of the ongoing Dragonsong War.

After securing passage to Vylbrand Adelaide's family along with the remnants of her father's cult make their pilgrimage to Ishgard. Their passage has little disruption as her father has the financial backing of their noble house. Many turn a blind eye to the unusual nature of their travel. Many do not give a second look to a few traveling Elezen or a few Hyur.Adelaide feels frustrated that no one can see her suffering. Forced to wear ridiculous appropriate clothing from her father's erratic writing; she feels anxious and horrified. Her meek nature makes her invisible, further instilling that no one will save her.

After a couple years of Adelaide's family evading capture for their activities the fateful day where all of her father's plans came to ruin. Adelaide remembers the day, dreadfully cold and preparing for nightly mass. Her mother seems shaken and cryptically mentions that tonight, "is the day it all ends." She holds bitterly to her words - freedom is something she has dreamed of for ages.Right as mass is starting her mother approaches her with an expression she has never forgotten. "I've forgotten something important, Adelaide." She remembers responding, "What is it, dear mother?" Her mother's face twists with pain, "We seem to be missing blood." Adelaide's eyes widen, mass cannot start without dragon blood. She hates this part so much -- she must obey. Her body moves quickly, she can't keep father waiting.What she doesn't know is that her mother has reported her father's work to the Temple Knights. To save her life and give her a better future, Adelaide's mother sends her on a fruitless errand so that she is not punished for their heresy. After being unable to source any she steels herself for her punishment only to find the doors of their residence destroyed and everything in ruins from the ensuing scuffle. Adelaide checks her surroundings, there's nothing left. There's no one here. Her heart drops. Is this what her mother meant?

Unfortunately, as a result, she is unable to keep gainful employment. Adelaide finds herself frustrated, she joins the Conjurer's Guild as it is the closest thing to her original position in Ishgard. Here she studies and keeps to herself, spitting venom to those who get a bit too close.
